I never really noticed the tent in the last 2 years but it was manic around there in 2009.

Never needed to use it as I have other means of recharge..

Only really use my phone to make sure I am in touch with my daughter on site..

Last year I used an iPhone for photos, checking Twitter for Rumours in the morning and occasionally meeting up with my brother & his mates who stayed in a campervan. Arrived Tuesday, left Monday lunchtime and never had my phone die. I did use two battery chargers which give maybe 60% charge.

Turn it off while you sleep, turn off all 3G & wifi and be quick like a ninja with photos & calls. Not hard really to preserve battery.

Like wet weather & everything else, a bit of good perparation means you can avoid the Orange tent

I just take my old phone to festivals. I stilll go on the internet for a bit in the morning (mostly on here) just to see if anything interesting's happening, any secret sets, any celebrity deaths, the usual. I certainly don't spend my time updating Facebook or Twitter. I just take a spare battery and it more than does the weeknd.

I hate the people who film gigs - then when I get back I love trawling youtube to see if anyone has got any decent footage of that great gig I went to! So in this sense I am maybe a bit of a hypocrite! I do remember screaming repeatedly at someone at the Chemical Brothers at the NIA - "Don't film it! Live it!", and he did smile & put the phone away!

I have to own up and say I do like updating facebook though! Not constantly, but if I am at something brilliant I want to tell people. It probably is just to show off "Look at me - I'm at Glastonbury!" Sorry - I just get excited! I want everyone to know what a brilliant time I'm having! I know it is sad, but it is me.
