Depends on your point of view I guess. They're OK for rinsing your vitals and you could probably wash your hair under one (unless you've got a lot of hair, and it would be quicker if you take the spray rose off the tube first), but you'd have to be very focused and efficient to get a full body wash out of one. If it's as sunny as it was in 2010 then they can get good and warm, otherwise don't expect too much on the hot water side of things, and you need to hang it up somewhere (fence, tree etc) to get the best out of it. In poor conditions it can always double up as a water storage container with a very good pouring nozzle, if nothing else!

I've got one and can vouch for the fact that they work, if you can be bothered.

The boys camped next to us had some great fun with their solar showers. The trick is for one person to hold it up while the other person showers under it.

I've got one and can vouch for the fact that they work, if you can be bothered.
