Saw Cud a couple of years ago...spent most the night holding an ice pack on the leg of my friend's friends lesbian partners ankle...quite possibly the only time I'll ever get to use that sentence.

Yeah...love the t-shirt. Was gonna wear it to the gig but as given the etiquette is not to wear the t-shirt of the band you're going to see at their gig decided against it (couldn't decide if this was a gig or a one day festival, it would have been acceptable if it was the latter). Only worn it a couple of times so far, a woman at work asked me not to wear it again as the mask scared her, and some bloke shouted at me as I went into the pub 'Thats a fookin' Scouse t-shirt if ever I saw one!'.

Anybody got Carter down on their list of possibles for Kendal??

Shit.. no-one told me about this T-shirt etiquette. I will make sure I comply in future. Could someone also advise if it is " acceptable " to go and see Mumford and Sons these days ? and if not, can you be excused if your wife bought the tickets without your knowledge. It`s not easy being down with the kids at my age !

I had the misfortune of catching a bit of Florences set as I passed the other stage a few years ago and it was horrible ! Could imagine it might appeal to some though, I'd be elsewhere when she was on stage tho

To be fair Jacko, if don't want emperors tickets then as long as you're around in February, march and April you should be fine getting tickets. If you want emperors then be on the ball on ticket release day

Think we are looking at the £295.00 Bell Tent anyway, although they dont look too waterproof!

Would imagine the bell tents wud be waterproof enough for that price, u can get the luxury option with the same tent which will set u back 495. The 4 man Bell tent includes 4 emperors tickets but u need to buy entry tickets, the 6 man bell tent includes 6 emperors tickets

God no...under no circumstances. Even if you're taken hostage and made to watch them you're expected to bang your head on the floor or swallow your tongue until you achieve unconsciousness.

Nice to see the realistic expectations of the FB fans for headliners...Stone Roses and Arctics. Even more worryingly the Florence and The Machine suggestion got 11 'likes'...abysmal!

I saw em in the jp tent at Glastonbury the other year and the crowd were buzzing for them. Seem to have lost favour with them though cos I've yet to listen to the second album.

You could be going to see worse in my opinion !

Just got back from Jake bugg in Newcastle, he played a predictably excellent set, still not sure how mainstream his audience capture would be though. Be great for Kendal though as the crowd loved it.

The main support band were a group called findley who were brilliant, fronted by a female singer who tried her hand at all styles from blues to rock, the crowd were eating out of her hands ! Again could see them playing a smaller stage at a festival, the singer's voice commanded the room

Who thinks the festival should include real cider fest like the ale one they have.? the only producer I have ever heard of in cumbria is this one

[Joy division Oven Gloves]

Went to see one of the 'Kendal mooted' bands last night at the Dome in Doncaster, The Vaccines. Loads of energy, played pretty much both albums and mad beer throwing in the crowd (I was with my 14 year old daughter and her mates so we were looking down on the carnage from the balcony). Regarding headlining at Kendal, the set was 50 minutes, with a 3 song encore, I'm not sure their songs would stretch to a headliner's expected length. Good fun though

The last thing Kendal Calling needs is the kids totally wasted on cider! It was bad enough last year!!
