John Grant to perform with Midlake this year?

Well this is something I'm sure we were all hoping for last year, but will it happen this time? It would definitely be a lot easier to pull off this time with them being on the same stage as Midlake will already have all of their gear backstage. Would definitely make JG a must-see if it does happen.

Oh JG was an unexpected highlight of last year, I was not too bothered about seeing Midlake, however did hope that they were going to join him on stage, not just watch from the wings. It has to happen this year surely!!!!

JG was definitely the highlight of last year. Bit unsure about seeing him again if it's the same set, as I can't see it being topped. If he were to be playing with Midlake I would definitely see him though, as it would be abit different to the 'solo' kind of show.

Hmm, maybe. Would be good. Though I understand his new stuff is much more electronic and therefore might not fit with Midlake's organic sound?

I was fortunate enough to see them together at the royal festival hall (I think) last year. It was most excellent, I'd be very happy to see them play together again.

However, as they have both been working on new material (as far as I'm aware, separately), I would expect them to mainly do their own thing. Although a couple of songs for the encore seems quite possible.
