Anyone else think they won't shift as many tickets as they're thinking? The way I see it is people who are going from the UK will have already booked up as flights are expensive and will only continue to rise. We paid £200 for flights in January and still have to purchase our tickets and coach transfers

So the situation now is either an amazingly massive great headliner or a quick failed booking?

How about other acts, I know supposedly there are 25 acts left to be announced but are there any big acts left for the main stage announced do you guys think?

yeah its either gunna be big or bad! and yeah there should be around 25 acts or so to announce and decent one hopefully! they normally have one big announcement with about 17 names each year and last year that was the final announcement in may all small bands but this year theyve alreay had one where they announced 15 bands for the smaller parts and compared to previous years the smaller named parts look as filled but the middle sized names dont so id say were looking at quite a few more decent acts yet! thats just like estimating from looking at previous years and what fib have said on their fb and twitter! :)

yeah, excellent new stuff - old stuff great too. Really hoping they get booked - doing Optimus Alive weekend before so hopeful.

Is it usual for acts at Optimus to do Beni too? Jake Bugg and Alunageorge playing so I guess so, but there are so many folks on this forum having an opinion as to whether bands are contractually allowed to do combinations of European festivals.

Biffy, Editors & Crystal Fighters would be a good shout from Optimus too (other than those obvious ones that have previously been ruled out on this forum).

Would really like to see Frightened Rabbit here - they would be fantastic small band addition.

buts thats exactly what they did when the Streets ended up headling a few years ago , they kept telling us negotiations were "ongoing" but in the end they couldn't complete the deal they were working on

The line-up is 90% complete, last year there were only 2 stages instead of 3 on thursday and with all the budget issues this year it's probably they're doing again so there's definitely no room for 25 bands, maybe some nice bands and a lot of spanish djs for the smallest stage but forget the idea of 20-25 bands like Foals/Beach House. And yes, in 2011 they were trying to get another headliner and suddenly we got The Streets on thursday. But hey, you can keep trusting in Tom Lumley, a guy who said Kasabian were headlining, the BBC confirmed The Strokes etc...

    • A question has crossed my (questionable) mind;   Has the size of the Green Fields remained the same as other areas have expanded / been added on to, since say, 2014 (the last time that I attended)? Are they 'lost' within, or well attended?    That's actually two questions. The second one just slipped in at the end by taking advantage of my lack of means to stop it.
    • I'd say the same about Kylie.    Annie would be awesome, Duran not so much, and on the issue of them wanting a beanie slot, that probably rules out a fair few others who I think would fit the bill very well... and are legitimately more entitled to a headline, and/or too expensive.   Was just about to suggest Chaka Khan, but see @Gnomicide has beat me to it!    What about someone like Bryan Ferry?
    • It's certainly gone more that way, but then they went completely in the opposite direction and had Cat Stevens.
    • Chaka can, or Chaka can't?
    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
