RHCP - Strokes - kasabian - Mumford - stones - Florence - the who - progidy - daft punk etc etc

All good acts in their own right, speculate as we do I just hope it's not some commercial budget crap and this whole delay is to sell as many tickets as possible before they announce the final disappointing 'cut back' headliner!!!

Anybody coming to see the Stones at Hyde park? I'm determined to get past the middle age throwback crowd reliving the 60-70s right to the front!!!!

Check them out man. Incredible band. They headlined Latitude in 2011, quiet since due to the writing of new stuff. High up on Rock Werchter lineup and hardly appearing elsewhere across Europe through summer. If Vampire Weekend aren't viable then The National are my bet.

Anyone else think they won't shift as many tickets as they're thinking? The way I see it is people who are going from the UK will have already booked up as flights are expensive and will only continue to rise. We paid £200 for flights in January and still have to purchase our tickets and coach transfers

I hope you are right,

Does Beni traditionally share headliners with SuperBock in Portugal - it is virtually identical this year so maybe we could see Johnny Marr?

Benicassim is the same distance from the UK as it always has been! We don't know how many tickets have been sold -

considering Reading and Leeds festival tickets cost £210 to sit in mud...

Benicassim earlybird - £125 ish?

Flights - mine cost £95 (surprised you paid so much never paid more than £115)

Transfers - £30

wether they do shift tickets or not wont depend on the location or affordability of Benicassim in my opinion

Regarding the price of flights also. It could have been alot cheaper if we wern't fussy about when we were flying - We're going Monday to Monday however didn't want an evening flight going out as we would be arriving to Beni during the night. We will get to Beni for about 4pm. On the way back we fly at 1pm - getting a coach transfer at 7am which is reasonable.

I just don't think they will shift too many tickets (From UK Punters) as they're hoping. If I didn't book Benicassim I would have had other summer plans, maybe a holiday or a UK festival so Benicassim for flights, tickets and transfers at this time would be too expensive for me.

Oh Nooooooooo your leaving on the Monday??? Made that mistake in '06 - was Hell on no sleep! - You will be dying trust me but at least you have a coach and not a train, trying to stay awake on the platform whilst doing a changeover was a problem!

Flights don't necessarily get more expensive - I looked the other day and mine were down to £84, they fluctuate right up until the day before and you have so many potential airports to fly into, Girona, Reus, alicante, BCN, Valencia, Madrid the flights are really not an issue.

What may be an issue regarding ticket sales was the early uncertainty to if the festival would take place at all, people who like to book up early may have looks elsewhere whilst it was all up in the air!

Very true about booking tickets hence we didn't book flights till January when the acts got announced. Haha probably regret it but will see what the night lifes like, go the waterpark etc before it gets absolutely packed. Didn't want to bother with trains either so using eufest as it seems much more easier haha!

Can't tell if I really like not having a clue who the final headliner is, or if its actually doing my head in.

The Who would be amazing but I swear someone ruled them out earlier in the thread for quite a legitimate reason- but I might be imagining it... Looked at their tour dates and can't see any reason why they couldn't be at Beni.

Strokes or Stones would be brilliant as well. As long as its not Macca, I'm happy.

(Still resenting whoever got to Foals and Tame Impala first though... Grrrrrr)

    • Disclosure Day was fun.  It's very Spielberg but probably not an all time classic Spielberg. Nothing particularly original but it's well made, good performances (exceptional performance by Emily Blunt) and for a 2 hour plus blockbuster it flew by. Not everything worked, but I don't want to say why to avoid spoiling. Then again, it's not like there are too many shocks in this film.
    • Do these early birds tickets sell out fast, or is it ok to wait for the w-e ?
