Villacamp is closer to site than halfway to beach, so I'd guess 15 minutes max, probably 10?

Also, having considered Open'er, so annoying to see Editors and Alt-J playing! Any chance of them playing Benicassim? And also, Latitude line up Monday, will rule out bands for the weekend completely basically.

With the rumours of Kasabian, and V and Reading both being shit, I'm considering doing Beni... So, how much would the whole festival really cost for me, any ideas?

I live in the London area, so those airports would be accessible... And I've heard that you should get accommodation rather than camp... Any help? thanks!

CAMP! You'll save a shit load of money and it's honestly fine, we ended up getting stuck behind the toilets because we arrived late and it was still nowhere near as bad as everyone on these forums had previously made it out to be :)

Just make sure you're near the showers!

their twitter just tweeted this in spanish: 'Queda poco para las confirmaciones, pero no serán hoy' translator translated this too 'Little is left for the confirmations, but will not be today'

sounds like the wait will go on

Does any body know if there are any other pre-erected camping options other than that on the official FIB website?

their easytent option has just increased to 120 Euros

cheers

Just received this to clear up the registering situation...

We do not make spot reservations - (meaning you don't reserve a position)

Each of the party has to be registered, it is compulsory and it is a request from the police department, it is a security matter, nothing to do with tents/reservations.

You can register whenever you want but make sure that you do it before coming, if not you may not be allowed to enter.

....My mates need to hurry up and get new passports so we can register!!!

Without having any knowledge and operating on guesswork, there have been R+L and BBK announcements this week, and given they have said they are close to being able to announce some more acts soon, it would lead to another announcement in the next 2 weeks, certainly before the end of the month.

guessing it would be 1 final headliner to give another push of ticket sales and 2 or 3 decent sized acts, plus a few more dancey type acts.

WHY THERE WAS NOT AN ANNUNCEMENT FOR ACTS TODAY?...

because there was a press release regarding negotiations for the long term future of the FIB...

here is a translation from the spanish text:

The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (FIB) has replaced Pepe Corral, who was Marawold executive director for Aránzazu Ezpeleta. The Irish mogul Vince Power, owner of Music Festivals, will continue to lead the Festival as musical director.

Ezpeleta knows about the Festival, keeping the special relationship, as it is Joako sister, who was one of its founders along with Nacho Calvo and brothers Jose Luis and Miguel Morán.

The popular Festival is currently in voluntary bankruptcy creditors, which includes a payment plan for its suppliers has not been accepted by all. And is that most of them are not willing to resign themselves to the new forms of payment offered, they leave in the air 50% of the nearly four million debt with suppliers. However, the organizers say the massive event will run from 18 to 21 July.

    • Went to see David Gray with some friends at Hampton Court Festival on Weds night as a friend had a spare ticket. He was … quite bland. Reminded myself why I haven’t been to see him before! It’s not that it was bad, just not my cup of tea. Hid dancing was an unexpected highlight - that really was bad! 🤣🥴 such a cool setting though and always try to see something there every year as it’s v close to where we live
