Two of my mates got pulled from the q last year and taken for searches. One got caught with stuff, obviously it got confiscated but he did get into the festival. Month or so later he got a £200 penalty notice from highland police. Had the option of court but it was a fair cop so he just paid it.

For the record it was the biggest sniffer dog team I've ever seen at festival gates.

You do realise that it has been known for the cops to check on sites like these to find out how people plan on smuggling drugs into the festival? Obviously they won't be checking under everyones hat but I would be cautious of what you say.

The police are absolute scumbags. They focus a ridiculous amount of their resources towards festivals every year in the hope if finding a small amount of drugs on some teenagers. If they put half as much effort into smashing paedo rings, catching crooks who steal grannies savings and rapists this country would be a much better place.

someone asked on the rockness facebook page if he could take in some coke or should he just hoover it all up at the gates? Prompting about a million "likes" and instant god like status.

Dunno if it got deleted or not but just goes to show you that there ARE druggies going to festivals EVEN IN THIS COUNTRY.

Dog check is mainly as you enter the gates (hand over your ticket). There will be dogs in the campsite but to be honest it's not that bad if you keep your wits about you. Don't remember seeing dogs in the arena, Sometimes at the arena entrance.

In my experience of travelling to RockNess in 2010 I was shitting bricks as I was carring a nice chunk of Pollen and a nice bit of weed. It was no problem at all, I got the Citylink shuttle from Inverness and there was only security at that entrance from the buses and all they asked was do you have any glass bottles and would give your rucksack a pat over. I heard different reports about coming in from the carpark entrance though, where there was police, dogs and security at that one.

got pulled by the sniffer dogs on friday, big black lab sat right in front of me.

Taken away to be frisked and questioned. lucky i had my stash in my mouth and was swallowed instantly.

I had quite a bit of booze and a bottle of poppers, which they where quite happy to let me restash.

I told them they need to retrain their dogs, which I was told it was probs the poppers the dog sniffed, dog looked fine to me :sarcastic:

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
