I'd love to see The Libertines back again. Best performance of that year by far. Would have preferred they left it a year and headlined... but can't have it all.

Just to say. There is still no reply on teitter to the tweets to them and they're members on there. Wasn't it said that if they were and couldn't say they wouldn't say anything? Though they have replied to posts that are not cnnected directly to those posts since.

I'm not. Note I didn't say at the festival as I couldn't be sure they would be. I just said it'd happen. That could be an arena tour or anything. it's how everything starts. Doherty solo, Barat solo. Libs new tour.

After all the hype I'd heard surrounding El Camino I was pretty disappointed when I heard it, sure it's an entertaining enough record, it's very accessible and easy to listen to, pretty catchy and got plenty of energy, but it's really not as special as I'd been led to believe it was. However, provided they don't clash with anybody I'd rather see, I'll go and watch them, see if their live show is as good as I've been told it is.

They'll never improve on Thickfreakness. But I do quite like El Camino, more than Brothers anyway.

Thickfreakness is brilliant. I prefer brothers to el camino though. I like the blues influences that run through that album. Next girl is a personal favourite.

When i saw them last month they played about the same off Brothers as El Camino ( about 7 off each) 3 off Attack & Release then 1 off each of the others.

I never said "sell-out". I was merely making the observation that I don't consider the indie pop styling of a lot of the stuff on the latest album to be as artistically credible as the bluesier songs of the past. They're certainly not above such a criticism.
