Will they go back in 2013? Because,Corey loves Download and he almost goes to every Download. I would have been glad if Stone Sour had been on the lineup this year. So they've missed 2011 and surely 2012 now. I want them in the next year.

Stone Sour or Slipknot will be there next year I think, it's time... I doubt we will go 3 years without Corey at Donnington.

Stone Sour are recording their 4th album,so it's certain they'll come. Slipknot said they won't record until 2013,but it's not a reason,I mean they can come to Donington without new stuff.

Yeah, Slipknot are a terrific band and played Download 2005, 2009 and I think to complete this sequence 2013 every four years I think they'll do!! + with much talked about new album definitely a possibility!!

since Paul past away Corey hasn't been at Download with SS or Slipknot which will be 2 years running he hasn't appeared now

Did they? They headlined in 2009. Did they play somewhere else on the bill that year? ACDC, rage and aerosmith headlined 2010.

I would probably guess that with Iron Maiden being back on the road 2012/13 they would be a good bet.

No to Slipknot please. Would be a dull booking, especially if there isn't a new album. Unfortunately the masses would lap it up though

Im in with the masses always awesome live, a lot of people won't have seen them since Download 2009, so thats a four year gap. More than reasonable.

I don't think there's any question about whether Slipknot are in it for the money or not.

Yup and a lot of people only do one fest a year being Download. So they wouldn't have seen Slipknot since then. Me included.

Don't mean to fart on your rainbow but they also played in 2004 so that kind of messes up you're patten plus since Paul past away Corey hasn't been at Download with Slipknot which will be 2 years running he hasn't appeared now and he has been at every Download until last year I believe, things change and "patterns" break.

Sorry about that. Didn't know they played 2004. But still I think they are pretty likely to appear on the line-up. It would be really good to see how they have improved since 2009, especially as they are believed to be releasing a new album this year!

There will be no new Slipknot album this year. There is a POSSIBLITY one could be released in 2013 but nothing is set in stone regarding the writing and recording of the album.
