Thanks largely to the USA....

For the same reason Scotland would be safe if they dropped the nukes... The rest of the UK couldn't sit by while Scotland was invaded...

Switzerland got invaded while being neutral...

Its nice idea but history shows it false...

Everyday ?

Early detection of cancer is life and death... You can wait a long time on the NHS and the numbers are going up... I could have one tomorrow with my health insurance.

Well I do pay for itself to an extent... Its a benefit in kind...

Depending on the future of the NHS I might...

Likewise I would pay for private Education if I had to... (Still possibly on the cards if she fails to get in this local school)

It has some possible traction that idea... Of course it puts our defence totally in the hands of another country... and then you have everything that goes with that...

For example, all of a sudden are ability to defend the Falklands goes etc... Yanks wouldn't support us keeping them... Bit shit for the British citizens down there... and the potential oil revenue... and future supply issues...

Well that is the current cycle...

My dad had greater chances than my grandad...

I have greater chances than my dad...

Hopefully my child will have greater chances than me...

All thanks to education improvements...

So the fixing has been happening...

latest stats say your child will have less than you.

Social mobility has started shrinking again, due to 30 years of tory policies.

Woo!

18 cheers for giving up!

why the surprise?

Barry is the man who thinks that illegal tax evasion is OK as the rich fucker who's scammed their tax will have already paid a lot of tax on the money they have declared.

Which is a bit like coming home to find your house has been burgled and commending the thief for leaving half your stuff behind rather than condemning him for what he's taken.

He's the perfect fit for the research that found that low childhood intelligence causes a person to be socially conservative.

I think your clutching at straws....

Unless we move from capitalism then we will have the poor and the rich... We can make everything more fair to give more opportunities but we won't drastically change anything...

Education isn't the key you think it is... We still need 400 shelf stackers to one store manager...

We need to sail on the good ship Neil and pay the 400 shelf stackers exactly the same as the store manager... as well as paying the corporate director the same as well...

Of course, thats totally unworkable... Unless you want to live it up the North Korean way ?

and just to prove how hugely thick you are, you fantasise things I've never once remotely said, and have told you countless previous times I've never said.

Do things only get into your head if beaten with a baseball bat? You keep demonstrating that simple conversation doesn't work.

    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
    • If anyone sees Lakefest this weekend on any sites please post here, I’ve got alerts set. Been on TFG in recent years and not sold out yet.
