Sunday headliner then perhaps.

I was about to come on and say something scathing about Coldplay but to be fair it would be a good booking for Rockness. Definately not for me but they are a huge act. Really hope it's something more inspiring though.

There is no reason why they would miss out a Scottish date on this tour, and just cause they played T last year doesn't mean Rockness wouldn't book them. There is a lot of crossover acts between the festivals the past couple of years.

Possible I guess, especially as it looks to me as tho AEG have been involved at some level in putting this together (just going by the venues being used - I could be wrong). And I'm surprised by the lack of Scottish date too.

But from the other side it would be the smallest show that Coldplay had done for years that wasn't fully their own, which seems pretty unlikely when they're bigger than they've ever been.

So I'd plump for a Scottish date yet to be announced (around the Edinburgh festival perhaps? I reckon they'll prolly do V Fest, which is around the same time) along with some other shows in England in some of the same venues which will fill up many of the gaps in those dates (and allow for rest days too).

There can by no denying their popularity and would be a massive booking for rockness. Have no doubt it would sell out if it was their only Scottish date for possibly the next 2 years.

Just can't see it happening.

It will include about 6 Oasis covers. The fest is smaller. Given the dates on arena he's just sold out, heading this isn't a problem

So in that case Rockness should just book any shite as a headliner as long as there is one act on elsewhere that someone else likes? There is no logic in that mate, look at the outcry last year when Paolo headlined..

By all means but him on the bill if need be, but 3rd from top at very most.

I hate to tell you Paul dude but your saying someone who just sold out a load of academies shortly followed by arena dates priced at £50 for standing in not much more than an hour and a half including the o2 arena is a bad choice for a festival the size of Rockness? For them to get him over TITP would be massive.
