Not saying wrong, just that this info has been told already. Based on the Foo's, I have spoke to a very reliable person too and as much as not confirmed for Download, far from denied.

I dont believe this

Heres the reasons,

- They wouldn't have the three headliners booked yet, or Andy would have stated so on twitter, always does

- Van Halen were in negations and it appears to have fallen through another headliner wouldn't have been signed up already

- Bullet back AGAIN, no chance, they subbed last year on main and they headlined second stage the year before, theres absolutely NO Chance they're playing again next year, theres no where for them to go

- Foo Fighters said themselves they were in talks for R&L, things do change but im not convinced, they already did Europe early summer this year, why would they again next year? makes no sense, bands have touring patterns, of course Foos are the one band who do tour all throughout a year.

-MachineHead, headliner? not big enough im afraid.

-Fightstar are on a break, would they be signed up to a festival already for next year, im not so sure, surely the band would be doing a new album first but its all solo projects at the moment so I can't see why they would commit to a festival at this moment in time.

Me,Beardy,Lee and Nfe hang out with Dave most weekends we got him drunk last weekend and as he lives with Andy we dared him to get the keys for the Livenation office and go and look for the piece of paper with the headliners on it and he found it and told us.

I don't think the headliners are right not because of Machine Head aren't big enough or Foos are (probably) gonna be at R&L but because it's missing the token old skool headliner AC insists on having every year.

Unless there aren't any big enough old skool names available so the old skool band(s) end up second stage... Maybe.

That's a good point is there any oldies available next year? Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, KISS, Scorpions (are they big enough over here?), Meat Loaf etc?

I can definately believe this since it is Boothy posting it and he always used to be reliable... but man Machine Head are a poor choice for headliner... even though I dont like Paramore I think they should have a higher slot than Machine Head... although knowing MH that would have made them pull out... Ah well def enough there to get me to Download again.. Rammstein and Foos as headliners will be ace

Although really shocked by BFMV.. arent they meant to be taking a break so MAtt Tuck can do his side project? Plus they played last year.. maybe it is the side project playing

Gonna have to strongly disagree with you there. Machine Head are a band who have paid their dues, and deserve a shot at headlining. Massive cult following, three 5 star albums on the trot, just as qualified as Tool in my honest opinion. I for one would definitely welcome Machine Head being bumped up to headline status. I am certain they have enough ability/showmanship to pull it off.
