I have a Micro folding Chair

http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/micro-chair-blue--p152290

that takes up no space and is very handy for damp ground.

For years at Reading you would not see many chairs but more and more are in use - as long as you are sensible then it should not be a problem.

one thing that's nice at reading is there are barely any chairs around, and if there are they're pretty far back

i usually bring chairs for the campsite because it sucks sitting on the floor for 5 days if it's wet, hide them if you're in the arena though or they will be gone when you get back

Hhmm OK, well I don't think I'll have access to this area - it's campsite volunteering with Hotbox. We're the CATs.

But I do know we get a crew wristband, and I have read/heard that we can use a different entrance to the arena. I don't think minibuses will be for us though!

Yes I know where CAT's usually camp so in that case I expect you will be able to enter from several points - either via the normal entry point as there is a Crew entry lane and with a crew pass you can get in at anytime or around the production road and enter via Charlie Gate which is handy when its busy.There is a gate on the far side { stage right as you stand on the stage } but as its opposite Charlie Gate I have never tried that one.

You should be close to Orange Catering which is where most crews eat.{ close to Yellow camping }

The WBC Camp is a few miles away and is not on the main site hence why they run minibuses.

Isle of Wight festival bans folding chairs

http://www.safeconcerts.com/news/2011/jun/6107-isle-of-wight-festival-bans-folding-chairs.asp

and if FR was intending to bring it in I would expect to find it here

http://www.readingfestival.com/2011/info/ under changes.

------------

I have to hold my hand up here - I don't enter via the normal entry point so Security are not checking what I am carrying but I cant imagine that the only seats are being used by Crew.
