just South...entrance to Blue Route and East carparks is down Pylle Lane (opposite Easton Lane - which is usually closed to traffic)

traffic routing has been completely messed up this year.

Anyone approaching from wells is being directed down eight miles of back roads through the villages - the same route as the organised cycle rides.

Take a flask of tea and some kendal mint cake boys and girls - its a complete balls up.

sorry for late reply. coming from shepton just passed the garage in pylle they have set up a traffic system to allow caravans to turn right into site but this is not allowing the traffic to freeflow passed this junction. now i hope they have learnt since yesterday but considering the site isnt officially open yet it was chaos with a line of caravans all trying to turn right , on wed and i can see some problems if it stays the same

Thats the normal entrance to the East Campervan fields. Its not normally that bad because the traffic is all stuck well before there. I imagine there was a load of traders arriving yesterday/today and that made it worse

they have changed this entrance this year gives access to some of the posh camping etc but i hope you are right :(

Here you go, (thanks to R0cky)

Road Closures

Confirmation that Easton Lane is closed from 8am on Wednesday. I also have a bad feeling that the top road out of Ditcheat is closed as well, but Wraxall Road is open

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
