Just 36 cans of brother festival cider for me and a couple of bottles of Strongbow for the queue/Tuesday night carpark.

In 2009 I drank a whole box of wine to myself on the Sunday evening so I became a dribbling wreck during Blur. Some kind person helped me back to my tent. When I tried to introduce him to my friends all their names escaped me. Won't be making that mistake again.

Between me and the wife we usually take:

32 cans of lager/cider

3l of red wine

70cl vodka

Bottle of Taboo (which I ridicule her for buying then end up drinking most of myself)

By the Sunday, we usually have a lot of wine and vodka left!

Might phase out the bottle of vodka this year and get a less strong spirit. By Sunday it all gets a bit Lord of the Flies, especially 2009 when I started drinking neat vodka during Status Quo and was absolutely shapeless. Luckily I realised how hammered I was during Nick Cave and stopped drinking - unlike my wife who has absolutely no memory of Blur whatsoever (she is gutted about this!).

If you're flagging and finding it difficult to start drinking (especially in the morning), red wine mixed 50/50 with coke goes down really well, as previously mentioned (the Spanish call it calamatro though I'm not sure that's spelt right!).

24 cans of magners seemed to be fine for me last year, but i ended up buying a lot at the bar so thats why i didnt run out.

Plus i seemed to drink water more than beer last year due to the weather.... Previous years ive taken a couple of liters of vodka and various mixers.

If I were you judge what you drink in a night and times it by the days youll be there. Then the rest will be drunk at the bars!

I have:

20l of Old Rosie Cider

1 Gallon of Knights Cider

70cl bottle of Glenfiddich

Random collection of cans left over from the bbq last week which will be used for drinking in queue to get in and while pitching tent.

That will do me.

    • New Overmono album is... just good for me. Had high hopes which were later dashed a bit after listening to some of the singles but they brought me back around enough to appreciate some very nice work in there. https://music.apple.com/ie/album/pure-devotion/1894298100
    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
