Here's the intended start point for the gig.. Position yourself in one of the Group areas marked, and watch for "the signal" at the point indicated. What's "the signal"? Stay tuned to find out..

Passed this onto my housemate. He loves this sort of thing!

I must confess I hadnt read the link before I wrote my miserable post, I thought they planned on doing it during the elbow set (which would probably be funnier now I think about it).

I bet there will be Hunters boots on every other person taking part though

Well done to you!

We were there and it was lovely. Part of a Thursday evening which really began to pick us up from a difficult time getting on site on Wednesday, and remember why we love Glastonbury.

Sorry folks. But here is how I saw it.

I saw it on here and FB and dragged the other 14 people down who are mostly massive Elbow fans. When we got there it didnt appear to be in the same place as drawn up and there were no distinct groups. Then people started walking to the side of the stones n by time we got there, there was a small nois eof lyrics but so faint we couldnt join in. I dont whether loads of peoiple who didnt know what was going on turned up but in all fairness it was shit.

We stood there scanning the stones for a dude in a tophat n didnt see him. Was a waste of time.

So we stood there trying to join in but failing. And once it was finished we got smashed and sung our own songs for an hour which went down well with other people joining in around us.

Yep from where we were just 20 yards away the guitars sounded like wall of noise and so many people were just standing watchign talking it drowned out the singing. Though it looked awesome from this angle.

I also dragged lots of friends there but couldn't see where things where supposed to be :( neither did we see a man in a top hat get on top of a stone as instructed they all seemed to be occupied by other people.

We heard the Hey Jude singing going on but hadn't heard the other presumably as there were loads of people around us talking

I was so looking forward to it too and can't believe we were there but couldn't hear it despite only being a few yards away :(

Thanks to everyone came - I'm the guy who kept playing afterwards for maybe an hour or so (Don't Look Back in Anger, etc.) ? Highlight of my Glasto, and dare I say it my life.

Anyway as I had a lot to do at the time I'd love to see any pictures or videos anyone took as I've got nothing!

Thanks
