So I have a quandry that you dear E-Festers may be able to helpe me with!

Last year I got in on the litter pick crew, had an awesome time and loved it. I have applied to do this year again after losing out on my ticket in the original sale. If you look for my original thread you can read about it there.

Anyway ... as some people may be aware the definate confirmations have yet to come through on the litter pick. Fiona has replied with a vagues yes you have the spot type email, but I am leery of saying its a solid yes.

So - do I try for the resale and possibly get a ticket, with the downside being I will not get that £200 back, and believe me my budget will suffer for that. Or do I wait and see if I have the litter pick spot and get my money back after I finish the shifts?

I am worried if I chance it and rely on the litter pick it won't come through and I will be screwed again - however if I get a ticket in the resale, the law of sod decrees that I will almost certainly get the Litter Pick spot.

What would you do in this situation? Any viewpoint appreciated!!

Well, as you can get lucky in the resale and still cancel that particular ticket up until 6th May then, if you get the litterpick job, you can do the socially and environmentally useful job of picking litter and save yourself a few quid. And, if you don't get the litter pick job, then you've got a ticket. Jackpot.

If i were you i'd hedge my bets and go for it in the resale (and I'm saying this as someone who wants a ticket in the resale himself) - that way at least you're covered if you don't get the litter job. And if you do, then you can still get a refund on your resale ticket.

The nightmare scenario is no litter picking job and no resale ticket - but you'd have to be really unlucky for that to happen.

Can you email the person who has to choose you and ask for a clear decision as your option B has a deadline.

I'm always in a similar position with my glasto-employer and have still yet to get the offical blessing of... "Ian, you're in"!

So I can totally empathise with you. Good luck

Awesome advice thanks guys.

I have emailed Fiona just now, so hopefully will hear back soon. If it isn't definate I think I will take the advice and hedge my bets with a go at the resell!

Now to avoid the uber bad luck goblin so I dont miss out on both...that will be just...no.

Litter pick confirmation has come through!!

Fantastic :) The line up released (QOTSA!), and my confirmation of place in the same night. Loving it. I get to go to Glasto, get a pretty much free ticket and get to feel good about being helpful and green. I love it. An Awesome Birthday present :)
