Tangerine Fields

My partner has booked a tent for her and her friends this year...

Having the money taken out of her account (£685), she hasn't received any sort of confirmation email or any notification/reference number at all.

So after a week or so she decided to email the company (and send them a message on facebook) to see if there was a reference number for her booking. After a week she still hasn't received any reply and is getting slightly worried due to the large amount of money going from her account.

Has anyone else had this sort of issue?

Thank you in advance.

I'd check spam filtering, both locally and with your isp. They are a reputable outfit with a history of providing the service, so it seems unlikely they would act in a shady way. I work in customer services for an ecommerce retailer and it is common for some ISPs and in particular hotmail to block email from what they regard as spam addresses even though it is a large company (In our case a certain orange logo'd supplier of bikes and car parts) we see it alot.

Similarly, when I pay my council tax I have to use my work email, as the receipt is NEVER received at my hotmail address, I guess my local council are also spammers.

i'm booked into TF this year, and though i didn't make the booking myself, we did get a confirmation email.

we also had to set up a login so we could see our booking on the TF website. like i say, i didn't book it, but presumably this was part of the process so i'd imagine your partner has one too.

Give them a bell, not too sure how good the mobile one is:

Or go and meet them in person:

Thanks for the advice.

She has already checked her junk mail and there is nothing in there. That was my first suggestion too!

When trying to log in to the website it doesn't recognise her email address (even though it was typed in twice at registration for confirmation).

My parents booked the tangerine fields last year and really enjoyed the site. Not trying to say the comapny is shady, more trying to make sure it's booked!

i would like to know how far the car park is too - been to glasto many many times but never used TF before. My husband isn't too well these days so I thought we would try to make it less of strain physically.

Also - do you get some sort of sticker for the car park - how do you know where it is? Because usually you don't get that much choice where to park once you're in the queue.

I used them at Rockness and they were great! but obviously that's a much smaller festy and everyone camps in the same bit.

thanks! :)

I stayed there last year and cannot recommend it highly enough. It was worth every penny. I do remember the correspondence was lacking from them but we did get a car parking pass nearer the time and just followed the directions to the campsite on the day. The car park is right next door and getting off the site took 5 minutes. I'm staying the year again and will be loading up the car appropriately!!!

I am in Tangerine Fields this year, everything I have read so far has been very positive and I am looking forward to having the car close by.

Not been to Glasto since 95, so not totally sure what to expect!

We can't get down until the Friday morning, which is why we are staying in TF, hopefully we will have an easy run down and get parked up quickly and easily.

Anyone got any pics of the TF set up from last year?

Stayed in TF for the first time this year after 3 years camping in Park Home Ground. Loved the fact that we were not in the bunfight for a camping spot and having to erect our tent in the p*ssing rain on Weds morning and the 2 minute walk from the car to our tent. We had a lovely spot at the top of the top field with a great view over the festie site - we sat outside the tent Saturday night at 2am, drinking and 'watching' Arcadia.

However the showers situation was a joke - 16 showers for 3 big fields of tents. I got up at 7.30am on the Friday morning and went straight into a shower - my bf got up the same time on Saturday and there was already a queue of 50 people. We ended up having showers when we got back at 1am Saturday night - even then there was a queue! Also the toilets didn't seem to be cleaned much at all. They didn't seem to be able to sort themselves out with the breakfast menu either.

i stayed there. the convenience of having it all set up and the car near by was excellent, and it wasn't as far as i'd been expecting from the site.

only bought a bottle of coke from the bar, didn't eat there at all.

the queue for the showers was mad in the mornings, but i used them a few times during the day and you could take your pick.

also felt a bit ironic camping in the field under Anne Goode's cross!
