Walking at Glasto

After a discussion with a few mates Ive decided to buy a pedometer (yeah I know a wee bit geeky) to see how many miles I walk during the 6 days there. Just wondered if anyone has ever done this before & if so how did it go? We camp at the top of the hill opposite the pyramid stage and even walking back to the tent after a day of madness and a night at the stone circle feels like a ten mile hike! Id love to know just how many miles we all cover.

Great idea. I took a pedometer to Vegas with me one year, averaged 5 miles a day over the 11 days I was there. The little bimbles here and there soon add up.

Looking forward to you reporting back

Just hope I manage to keep it safe for the duration of the festival this

maybe the key to it all! Like you say all the little journeys add up so the results should be interesting.

I did this with a pedometer on my mobile phone in 2008. I was staggered to learn I walked around 60 miles, or 15 miles each day whilst at Glasto

Unfortunately I ate a load of shit whilst there and drank bucket loads of beer so I lost no weight whilst there. But I felt good!

Will be interesting to see your results.

I work on my feet 10 hrs a day and thought my legs would laugh at a weekend of camping with the occasional stroll between stages.

How very wrong i was.

This year however i'm doing a half marathon at end of May and have been properly training, not that fussed about where i come in race to be honest, more about getting the pins in shape for Glasto
