For people outside of this forum, Florence headlining would appeal more than Bloc Party would. Bloc Party are a popular band but Florence is much more commercial and well known to most people. My mum even has both her albums.

I prefer Bloc Party btw but if Melvin is wanting to attract more people, and more newcomers then Florence is more likely to do that

This is excellent watching the majority of people trying to convince themselves that Flo + The Machine couldn't/wouldn't headline because they dont like her

People are just saying that FATM aren't big enough to headline to try and convince themselves that it won't be them.

I personally can't stand Flo, so I hope her and her machine stay well away.

I think people saying she's not big enough to headline fits in with the yearly tradition and just makes her more likely.

Saying that I can think of about 20 other headliners I'd rather have.

Flo might not headline, but she'd flog those day tickets - and weekend tickets - better than just about every band on the bill bar the Foos.

The way Official R+Ls are going on about it on Twitter it doesnt make sense. They are saying the headliners are "incredible" & "you wont want to miss it, it's amazing". They are either Over-hyping everything or it generally is a "incredible" line up... But my guess is on the first one.

Are At The Drive-In actually likely to play?

I've got it in my head for some reason that they are definitely going to be there .. and everybody seems to have them in their line-up predictions. But as far as i know they've only confirmed as being back for Coachella so far haven't they?

Would be so epic if they played.

Not sure YMA6 would be that high, and I think QOTSA will sub Foos and ATDI will headline NME, but the rest seems very feasible. Still think Linkin could headline

they're headlining the second stage at download, they've got a sell-out tour and a number one album, like it or not they are big with R&L's target audience

smashing pumpkins or pixies would even be a bigger draw as headliner than florence in my opinion.
