Tbh whether the album does well or not, given its only 10 songs long I can only see them playing half of it at most. Will be much more of a greatest hits thing I reckon.

I really like what I've heard of the new stuff. Much more Room on Fire than First Impressions of Earth. I don't think you could criticise the booking of arguably the most important Rock band of the 21st century even if the new album does flop, though. No-one's going to have the logic of one flop outweighing the two masterpieces they've already released.

If the album bombs it might be bad for R&L but I doubt it'll have any impact on their performance. Realistically they'd probably on play three or four songs from the new album regardless of how well it's received and fill the rest of the set with their back catalogue.

It's a good album, five or six songs I like and the rest I'll skip but that's pretty standard for a Strokes album for me. Not blown away but not disappointed, looking forward to seeing them.
