Placebo were playing Arenas back in 2009. Biffy Clyro were an arena band last year. Im not sure what venues Weezer would play.

They'll probably play 2nd but there's more to a really strong sub than whether or not they're an arena band.

Not underestimating their overall popularity; more doubting how much appeal they have to a Reading demographic.

I hope I'm wrong and they have a fantastic crowd...but I worry you'll get far too many people just waiting for the headliner, which is boring.

LOVE THE BURY BOYS SO MUCH. my dad saw guy.. at he's friend art exbo a few years ago, he said hes a really nice fella. my dad and guy really hit it off because of brian.(who was a very good friend of guys and a cousin of my dad) the album and tile as we no or.. some might not no, was based around brian. there music isn't half bad either haha

I don't care if this gets me to stick, but 2nd from top for me has always meant 2nd from top, as in sub-headlining, as the band just before the headliner. Total news to me that it means something different.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
