Eno was one of the producers...Markus Dravs also produced it, or had some production input...not sure what the track by track breakdown was in terms of input (which might be what you are referring to by saying that Eno produced Viva la Vida (the single rather than the album)))...but it was a measured move to have him involved by Coldplay...not saying there's anything wrong with it per se, producers are hardly tied to a given band...

To be fair though, that was a calculated move by Coldplay...they specifically brought in Arcade Fire's producer to create that sound (and they really wanted a "wake up" style song that the crowd could wail away to...hey presto, the title track) ...having said that, I do agree that it's their best effort since rush of blood to the head...

This is actually going to be alright. Yeah Coldplay are a bit uncool, Yeah Chris Martin can act like a bit of a tit at times (Judging by the intereviews I've heard of him) abut they have some good, decent tunes and they obviously love the place so if the moment is right then it should be a good gig. Since I've found out that they donated all the money that they got in '05 they have gone up in my books. Good lads.

    • and still twenty one pilots must have a very persuasive management team, unless they are still rearranging the schedule, still seems really odd.
    • Phew, been waiting a while for a statement like this.     Well at least a few days since the last one
    • And there we go.  Bleech 9:3 added
    • The only number I can find is 90k, but it doesn't really break it down in the way you're asking so it is up in the air in that regard. My only thing here is that I don't think Leeds is in danger or is flagging in sales. I thought last year had an awful lineup so I opted out but apparently a hell of a lot of people decided to go, so I really do believe it is just us lot all being out of touch with what the modern R&L audience wants.   I do think this year has a good lineup although I know a lot of people on here disagree with that, so I am gonna be there and we shall see what it is like on the ground this year in terms of attendance.
    • RIP David Hockney, what an incredible talent.
