This works a treat. Fox's glacier fruits ... separated into citron and ... er ... fruits of the forest?

My favourite is still Werther's Original though, and Murray Mint works well also.

Has anyone had any success with Chilli Chocolate? I remember someone mentioned it last year … how was it?

My flavours this year are Sour apple pips, cherry bon bons and orange and lemon Scottish rock

We had 18 different flavours on our vodka day last year, including battenberg cake and worthers originals. Black jacks and fruit salads were good as well

I'm going to let someone else host our vodka tasting event this year, as last year, got a little messy for me... One for me, one for you with 20 people doesn't work....

Cherry drops definatly still exist, I buy them in Leeds regularly. Our vodkas are raspberry, blueberry&blackberry, lemon sherbet and liquorice and aniseed. The colours are so vivid and bright, and they smell amazing!! Very proud of us for not regularly sampling, and running out before glasto!

Ooh, this reminds me I bought special dried fruit at the Masterchef show last October to use specifically for the G and flavoured vodka making. Must get some vodka tomorrow and try and experiment. 6 weeks should be enough shouldnt it?

I have apple and raspberry, citrus, victoria plum, cherry and another I cant quite remember at the moment.

My sloe vodka I made in the autumn is decanted now and ready for tippling.

Great Thread!!

Ok, I've done skittles vodka before on a number of occasions and wnt a bit loopy one time so have given it a width berth for a while now

But this thread has got my thinking cap on and I'm now going into production

So I reckon strawberry and cream capino flavour would be the lord in liquid form, however it seems as they went off the scene years ago, this made me sad. I've spotted on the net that you can get some decent tasting strawberry and cream alternatives so thats defo guna mix #1 (500ml)

Mix # 2 will be Rhubarb n Custard (500ml) - tried it in bar once - hit the spot!!

Mix # 3 - My own spontaneous invention (1000ml).

Take 1 litre of Bacardi and empty into a 2 litre milk container.

Empty two packs of foxes glacier mints.

Cut up a dozen limes into 1/4's.

Mash lime and many mint sprigs together in a large bowl.

Empty all the contents of the bowl (Juice included) into the milk container.

Leave for 1 month, shaking vigerously every other day.

Strain off the mix and transport to a lightly more attractive bottle (Plastic of course)

This mix "Should" be a super strenth wicked bad ass mojito drink.

Option of either drinking neat to avoid toilet needs or mixing with clowdy lemonaid for a mega cooling citrus tipple B)

Does anyone think morgans would be a better shout, never tried it before

Marvelous!!! :D

hot tip, if you don't feel like waiting around then this is what they do in bars -

make sure the lid is on tightly, then put in the dish washer. a bit of heat and gentle shaking does the trick in no time.

Going to make some vodka haribo for Glasto, going to use spirytus(95% ABV!) instead of vodka though so will use less and the haribo won't become so sloppy and impossible to eat in a field.

Cannae f**king wait for Glasto!

Ooh that reminds me to find the recipe for Haribo Vodka Bears. It involves hairbo, vodka, a baking tray and a fridge without losing the shape and consitancy, I am so glad I have an extra fridge in my new place!

I sense I may not be in a fit state most weekends in May while the "lab" is set up

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
