New poster, haven't read the whole thread so I dont know if the band themselves have made any announcements to the contrary, but I think they're still a decent bet for the Sunday Other Stage slot, or subbing Coldplay or even Beyonce.

I dont like Pulp at all, a choice between them and Beyonce to finish off would be disappointing (I would like to finish off with a familiar band), but a weekend of U2 on the Friday, Chemical Brothers Saturday and Arcade Fire Sunday would be absolutely amazing and would easily make the best Glasto I've ever been to (went 2009 and 2010).

Doesn't look like they're doing any UK festivals then, guess that was the main reason for the three summer gigs.

I'm clearly overexciting myself now but... they could so be doing Green Man!

My logic = no gigs in Wales in the summer but they're in the UK at the time (MEN and Edinburgh about a week later), Explosions In The Sky are headlining GM and supporting Arcade Fire on tour this year, they fit in quite well with the kind of music at the festival, they may now be too big but the booking could have been made around a year ago when they were a fairly sucessful indie band and not THE BAND OF THIS GENERATION (does no one remember the confusion at them headlining R+L over the Libertines? - not on here obviously).

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
