Au contraire, 'Sleep is for the Week' is ace - have to agree with Frodisdead. Its also the album that no one seems to have heard of - if recent gigs are anything to go by. Songs off that record used to be mass singalongs, now they're met with 'what's this then?'

His gig in Brixton was excellent. I really do hope he plays Glasto again next year, though I admit that the mass generalisation he made about Glastonbury punters is a bit much.

I love Frank, I really really love him (and I think sleep is for the week is his best album, or at least on par with love ire and song). But it makes me really sad that he's a libertarian these days, and it also confused me that he got to play the LEFTfield stage when libertarianism is very much economically right wing...

I don't entirely agree with that, especially since the release of his new EP. I thought Love, Ire and Song was better than Sleep is for the Week, but then Poetry of the Deed was a big let down and definitely his worst yet overall (despite a small handful of stand out songs). The new EP bodes well for the new album he's recording next year, although I'm a bit concerned that my least favourite song on the EP (I Still Believe) is the only one from it that will be included. Some of the new EP reminds me of his very early stuff (Rock and Roll Romance for example), and I absolutely love Pass It Along.

Just announced dates in Germany, the Saturday and Sunday of Glastonbury. :(

Looks like the only chance we have is a secret gig on wednesday/thursday.

EDIT. Just seen he's in Amsterdam on the wednesday so no chance. Gutted!

    • If the festival was on this forecast for the end of the month would really raise the excitement levels 😊😉
    • I think their best chance is to get at Brazil. I though Casemiro in particular but the entire Brazil midfield was awful for the first half of that game, and if McTominay and McGinn press and run past them they've got every chance of getting the lead. You kinda assume Vini Jr and Raphinha will do something at some point in any game, but Brazil look like they're waiting for their stars to make something happen, instead of having a team plan.   I stand by my claim before the tourney that Morocco put 3 past Scotland, which suggests to me they need to nick a draw against Brazil.
    • The dance and pop acts seem to be going down more than the rest lol. Download has turned into 90s fest of the Midlands haha, but it's all silly music no one actually likes lol.
    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.
