Screamadelica does sound dated in places..

Vanishing Point is a stunning album, with Burning Wheel being the standout track for me. Just.

I remember spending afternoons listening to it and playing Grand Theft Auto! It's just cool as f@@@. The only thing that can even come in the same neighbourhood as it is bits of Unkle's Psyence Fiction.

Granted, it's probably not the best starting place for Primal Scream. I'd recommend XTRMNTR, Screamadelica, Vanishing Point and Give Out... Probably in that order.

What an incredible gig on Saturday night, right up there with the best gigs I have ever been to.

It's totally illogical to stay because a band make one superb album they should quit. If they had quit we wouldn't have had XTRMNTR, one of my favourite albums.
