I was asking those who wear a Poppy to remember those who dies outside of war.

My cousin died the other day outside of war, from cancer. I'll remember him and all others that died outside of war in the exact same way. Shit happens.

Is there a special day for the nurses that died in a car crash on their way to work? I wonder why not.

I thought it was a good point. Fortunately he had shore leave when the ship he was on finally got sunk and lost just about all of it's lives, but there were plenty of other occassions where I wouldn't have been here if these people I'm meant to be remembering and giving money to had their way.

But if you decided not to join in for whatever reason, how would your collegues react? I know people here get hounded into joining in whenever something like that goes on.

Maybe if they did a black poppy, in the style of an Iron poppy, I might wear it for all the dead colleagues of my grand dad. It did kinda haunt him for all the time that I knew him.

the girls are having an eyebrow waxing thing before the christmas party and it's been decided that all the guys should get something waxed for donations. the prostate cancer charity we're doing it for isn't all over tv/shops/magazines, but the same reaction applies.
