f**k me Mr Oafish..you`ve been on here all f**king day man!

At least I`ve been out doing something productive! ;)

I get up--yer on. I take MDM out,come back--yer on. I have a bath--yer on. I go to sign on,come back --yer on. I go collect me daughter from airport,come back--yer on.

And here`s you ... the family man.

I reckon if FemiOaf was ever heard... she`d say this f**kin internet is the bane of her life and could well be cited in any forthcoming divorce!

If you are indeed working from home etc... I cant believe theres no jobs to do round the house...but it seems you spend all your time on here ---arguing.

Ey--- if you`ve got £100 a week to spend on bait.. then do it. Anybody who chastises you for that is jealous..and if they say they aren`t--they are lying.

Spending £100 Nal-Style is wanton disgrace, but if he got no responsibilities--no probs.

I have around £20 a week to live on... and its almost impossible. I can generally eat... but its things like toothpaste, lavvy paper etc that cause problems..and clothes...f**k me... even the charity shops are out of my league now.

Corporation Tax, Employees Tax... If I am working I am paying into the national... f**k me you are a pleb...

It about fairness... It is not fair that one family at number 48 gets everything paid for while the family at number 49 has to go out to cover their existence and the existence of the perfectly fit and able family at 48...

Everyone should be doing there bit. and if there is no paid jobs then maybe people should be doing community based work instead of watching Jeremy Kylie in-between the school run

I had a friend who used to love a bargain, and she used to come down mine and share them with me, which being much poorer than her i really appreciated.

I couldn't have done all that queuing and jostling for stuff though, because the need was too great, and therefore my pride was even greater.

Something I have noticed... ICELAND...i very rarely go in there, but the times i have... i have noticed punters in there...and without being massively stereotypical... a lot of em do look like they are on the sausage.... and their trolley is full of shite!

I dont blame em---the stuff is cheap...but all processed shite...massivley high in salt and additives etc.

Although, I dont have much money, I do eat reletively well--cos I cook!

I raid the reduced section as much as i can and freeze stuff.

Trouble today is all this stuff you can buy---just toss it in the oven/microwave... its not very good for you.

Another one (and this does get me rag up this)... I was in getting a paper on saturday... the 3 people in front of me... once again looking pretty much like Sausages... all bought cigarettes. One bought 60 and the other 2 bought 40 each.... I think they spent well over £10 for 40 from what i could see.

How long would 40 tabs last on average?

Just how the f**k can folks afford tabs if they are on the dole? Summat else must go by the wayside.

One of my big pet hates, smoking. (tabs)

We went Warrington market on Saturday and picked up three big bags full of fruit and veg for £10. Can't find cheap meat anywhere though. Seems expensive no matter where you go.

People who smoke and plead poverty piss me off no end...

Most people who have a £25k family income won't have this mortgage commitment you total tit :)

never heard of mortgages at 5 times income and at up-to 125% of the value of the property?

And if they don't have a mortgage, they still have rent which isn't hugely different for comparable properties.

You really have no clue outside of your bubble B)

Says the man who has no clue outside of his privileged bubble, who thinks house insurance is a necessity for most people when the insurance world gets to show that it's a luxury for most people, etc, etc, etc.

A very large number of people in this country have no slack in their finances to cover the sorts of things you listed as your necessities - "the boiler breaking... furniture wearing out... weather damage to the property... and other none essentials in your world like clothing or transport... My glasses cost £200 (minimum), then again who needs eye sight".

That IS the real world.

Do think the badgering you've got on here about how you spend your money is a bit excessive, for once, though ;)

He's been 'badgered' only due to me responding to his own questions.

That 'badgering' has got to show how different the real world is for many people to how oaf thinks the real world is for those people.

Its little things like this Neil is purposely ignoring... The bigger the house the bigger the cost at fixing / replacing such things as well...

Local tradesmen can cost dramatically more depending on your location as well...

oh, you mean like in my rented house where the cooker has just gone, and the landlord has said he'll get someone out within 2 weeks, and in the meantime I have no way of cooking? .... which means I have the choice of a £140+ take-away bill, paying for a sparky myself, or doing the work myself?

Yeah, life is much harder for buyers with costs like these, and the £150k+ bonus they get after 25 years is worth nothing at all.:lol:

I can live off £25k... but not in my current house you total buffoon...

Yet I've shown you how you can live of £20k and in your current house.

But anyway, how do you think those in just a fraction of your income manage, while having all the same expenses? Yet you think they're all rich enough to take a (proportionally) big cut in their income, while it's wrong for those on £44k+ a year to lose child benefits.

You live on a different planet. I'm trying to get you back onto earth, and your view is it's impossible. You don't know you're born. ;)

    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
    • Same. Shower and back out in a taxi!
