MyHab @ Glasto....

We camped on the Myhab site this year, and it was good.

The hill is not that bad, steep yes but not that long.

The people we were camped near were all a good laugh, the site was clean & you had enough room to walk to your tent without tripping over a dozen other tents & general debris. You can use a clean flushing toilet, have a shower (these were OK depending when you used them) and get to the car for supplies - if that makes it loose it's atmosphere I can live without that particular atmosphere, I don't feel the need to have to wade through other peoples sh*t when using the loo to feel like I am having the real experience.

The car park is literally 100m from the tents, so if the weather were really bad you can always have dry stuff handy etc. Also we didn't have to sit in any traffic either on the way in or out.

But as other people have said, you're not there that much. Most of the time you are just at the festival doing what ever you are doing, just like all the other 175,000 people. The amount of walking I do at Glastonbury, the walk back to the tent just doesn't seem that important - especially as the site is so big that where ever you camp you are likely to have a bit of a hike.

Each to his own though, it worked for us.

Happy Camping.

We stayed there last year, and have already booked it for next year!

Coming from Ireland on a flight to London and a train down, we wanted to carry as little as possible, and the MyHabs were a great alternative to camping. It was great to arrive and just throw our stuff into the myhab and head straight down to check out the festival.

The hill was grand once you got used to it, the view was amazing every morning! We went back to the campsite only once most days, twice on one of the days I think.

It was nice to have a comfortable place to sleep and clean toilets/showers. Its not far from the late night areas and the stone circle, so it wasn't much of an ordeal to get back in the early hours.

lol, I admit it does look suspicious. I registered here last year, but never posted.

I'm based in Dublin and nothing to do with MyHab, check my IP!

because you said to do it and I can, I have. :)

And you are indeed using as Irish ISP. That doesn't prove you're in Ireland - but you probably are.

people on here are only suspicious because one of the off site camping companies used to send people on here to post "fantastic" reports about their site

.....which I always thought was fun to read B) , but if you didnt realise it was a fake report you might have believed them, so I think Neil deleted some threads IIRC

eoinca - you're brave!!! I gave my experience and was basically told I should stay at home!!!!!

I really don't see why there is such a bad feeling about this option. It's somewhere to sleep, use a clean loo, get a shower & get to the car. The other 18 hours of the day are spent at the festival.

But this site is all about the great diversity of people who attend, as long as you are prepared to get a very hostile reaction for being positive about something new(ish). I am not good at arguing my case so will leave well alone now & accept the inevitable bashing.

But as I said before - each to is own.

And again, happy camping - where ever you choose to do it!!!

Okay, i had people i knew staying there and they did say the hill is a killer. However they did like the perks, showers, phone charging, hair straighting etc tent and breakfast place they said was good too. However they said the tents they giove are way to small and anyone above 5ft 5 has legs sticking out the tent.

Good luck
