Hmm..I really should make this my last post on this topic but..

Really? I've seen a lot of the posts here and I can't see any of those people saying "I posted those pictures for sexist reasons". Quote them for me please. Or else I'll assume it's either an outright lie or an error of interpretation.

Oh FFS. Get yourself to Tesco and order in your first brain cell. You'll be surprised at the effect it can have.

I believe they were essentially harmless yes. Again, I can't see that many posts from people who said they were offended by them.

The number doesn't matter. One is too many.

A few posts by people saying they weren't appropriate, they didn't really feel this was the right place for them etc etc, but I can't remember anyone saying they were outright offended by them. Again, quotes please.

When do you think I became your slave?

The posts are here. If you can't read them then you need reading lessons. If you can't be bothered to try and find them, why do you think I should find them for you?

Far more people were offended by your sweary outbursts last night. Have we had any kind of an apology from you for that? No no, that would be asking far too much I feel.

I'm not going to apologise for having to act against numerous refusals to desist.

There's plenty of definitions for sexism out there Neil, plenty of good reference points on the internet these days - dictionaries etc. None of them back up what you are saying.

So please explain how the objectification of women isn't sexist?

A simple deletion of the posts concerned and a bit of a word to the members who posted them would've sufficed, rather than labelling them all as sexists, brain dead, arseholes, etc.

If Neil was JUST referring to those pictures you brought up, I'm sure he would've indicated this.

Words were had in this thread over two days, that were ignored. So it clearly didn't suffice.

Wrong yet again.

I feel he's backed himself into a hole he sort of wishes he hadn't got himself into.

and again.

I'd rather lose the morons than those who are able to recognise right from wrong. If that takes banning those people who just can't get it, so be it.

Stop trying to defend and deflect from what you've admitted yourself was not acceptable. If you really think those posts weren't acceptable, why are you spending so much time defending them and calling them harmless when people have expressed their offence at those posts?

I recommend that you don't pursue the debate with Neil unless you've got as much time to waste as he has and/or enjoy banging your head against a brick wall. The best you can hope for is illogical reasoning, convenient ignorance of your central arguments, tired repetition of irrelevant points, obfuscation, insults, mockery and an uneasy sense of psychological imbalance.

Not one person has been able to - or even tried to - justify why those photos were acceptable in this thread.

Yet I'm the one "psychological imbalance" for asking that they stop, and taking the actions necessary to ensure that they do after previous requests had no effect.

You couldn't make it up. Oh, I'm wrong, you just have.

Wow, this thread has got so goddam boring. Blah blah blah same old crap we've had over and over for 30 pages. Have you nothing better to do than bicker about something so unimportant in the grand scheme.

I just want to hear about the weather, I dont have time for the rest. Please take it to PM. This shall be my only post.

NR NFC!

More unprovoked personal insults. Totally irrelevant to my point. Two can play that game though. You've questioned my intelligence time and time in this thread.

Tell you what Neil, get yourself a nice shiny medical degree with honours and a first class Bachelors of Science degree and then try talking to me about brain cells. I've got plenty to spare, but hell it sounds like you could do with some.

congratulations. Hasn't done you as much good as it might have tho, which is a shame.

Because you're making things up. No one actually posted "confessing" they were being sexist like you claim they were.

yes they did, just as a good number expressed their offence at those pictures. Your failure to read things properly makes you the liar, and not me.

Men AND women get objectified in the media. Granted it happens to women more than men, but increasingly we see pictures of men objectified too. A picture of a half naked man or one of a woman in a bikini doesn't automatically say "this man or woman has no other redeeming qualities", it just is what it is.

Congratulations again - you're starting to finally recognise objectification. Now, if only you were able to follow thru on those thoughts.

Do you feel this picture of Freddy Ljungberg is sexist against men?

The context of such things is always important.

Now, please do tell me what the context was for the continual posts of scantily clad women in this thread?

I think the odd post of a woman in a bikini IS perfectly acceptable.

If it had been *JUST* "the odd post" then I'd have not felt the need to take action. What part of that are you finding so difficult to understand?

The posts were continual, and only for titillation purposes.

Did. Didn't. Did. Didn't. How long is this going to go on? A bit of fun maybe in the early stages last year was OK. It got out of hand and it's right that it stops. That's all there is to say. Surely that's the majority view? Enough already.

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
