anyway everyones name gets messed around with -

my surname is Howard so i got called Howard the Duck or Howard the Coward

People called my brother Neil Neil Orange Peel so why would anyone called Apple or Larmer or Buddy Bear get the piss taken anymore than anyone else?

I got kicked out of Upper School because the only way to not get bullied was to be as badly behaved as possible to entertain the other kids. Obviously that was stupid. :)

I got on with everybody at school. I honestly can't think of a single person I didn't get on with, or at least wasn't able to talk to.

I got bullied by my teacher in P1. Didn't realise it then but looking back if my memory is right (which obviously I may only be remembering certain bits or that) then I def got bullied by her.

Funnily enough, i`ve just returned from town..and i thought I pop, incognito to the bus station to see The Boy J getting off etc.

As all the kids alighted, i was giving em the once over etc..how they looked. There were a couple in particulary who had I`m Prime Material For Bullying wrote all over em.

Jordan has long wavy blonde hair and had been shittin himself starting big school in case he would be ripped to shreds.

We gave him the option of just going with the crowd and getting his lovely hair cut off so he would look like the rest.

He finally decided to just have a trim. And tbh--a trim it was..I could hardly tell the difference.

And? 2 weeks in? He`s telling us that they love his hair...esp the boys! (wheres Mr Phil?).

I would be quite suprised if any of the kids were bullied tbh. It is about confidence as has been said..and something tells me they wont be short on that trait.

Another thing that struck me today was dancing.

We were made to do dancing. Country Dancing. I f**kin hated it---all the boys hated it...except Geoffrey Hunton. Theres always a Geoffrey Hunton isnt there? Turned out to be a vicar. Mother always wore hats she did.

But of course, nowadays dancing and the arts are in vogue aren`t they. With all these X Factoring and Strictly etc.

How things change eh.

Annabelle... thats not a Prime Ministers name really is it. :P

Well Mr Oaf, by using your logic, between us, we`ve got a Prime Minister and a pair of twats!

But,

"Pray Ladies and Gentleman please stand for the Prime Minister, Annabelle Oaf"

or

"Please welcome on stage the sensational guitarist brothers Larmer Twat & Hendrix Twat"

I`m really not quite sure which way this might go. Lets see in a few decades.

    • Just watched Annie Lennox at Wilderness Festival as part of her global feminist The Circle initiative. She curated the 2 hour slot with special guests including Jessie Ware and then did  a 1/2 hour slot singing her and Eurythmics hits at the end. Her voice is amazing still and I am convinced she would do an amazing set on Sunday afternoon. She even wore a jacket with a sparkling CND symbol on the back! It’s a sign!!

    • Is it one of those bollocks things where ones is a festival and the other would be a show lol
    • Hello,   I have no idea what the answer is to your question, but wish you well in your quest for information.
    • Yes, I was asking about comedy, and also it seems odd that after bringing it back last year, the Seaside Stage seems to have gone again. Probably why Massaoke (basically a big karaoke sing-along) is now on the Castle Stage. But on all three days?! Does all seem a little desperate this year, though hopefully I will be proved wrong. Still think the Mary Wallopers fiasco has probably put a lot of artists off performing at Victorious, hence the reduction in stages and acts appearing... One of the best things about Victorious in the early days was its value for money compared to some of the other bigger festivals, but this certainly not the case anymore...
