Zappa had a near monopoly on stupid kid's names for years and years.

Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen.

David Bowie called his son Zowie Bowie. Although he now goes by the name of Joe, I think.

so people who give their kids unusual names want them to look like twats?

one of the best things you can do for your kids is encourage them to be unique, i don't see why that can't extend to their name.

if they don't get slagged for their name, it'll be something else. the only way you can go to school and not get slagged is to dress and act exactly the same as the popular kids, and if you want them to do that, you're the nasty one.

Do people just call him “T”? Or “T-Bone”? T-Bone is cool.

Nah, he's known as Rex (and was always going to be). We stuck a "Thomas" on the front of it for no particular reason other than to make him T.Rex. :D

It seemed like a good idea at the time, tho within a few days we'd already started to regret it - it's hard as hell getting officialdom (doctors, schools, etc) to get their heads around him not being called 'Thomas'.

I knew a kid called Miles Long. No joke.

I've never met a Hugh G. Rection, Mike Hunt, Mike Hawk, Hugh Janus, Eric Shawn, Howie Feltersnatch or Jack Mehoff yet though.

My mum used to have a Justin Time attend the playgroup she ran.

I was at school with a James Nutt whose mum was named Hazel.

And - seriously - some mates of mine used to share a house with a Chris P Bacon.

Corrected.

and no i'm really not lying. I don't judge people like that and never have done.

You obviously do judge people on superficial things, but don't for one second believe the rest of the world think the way you do. You're a dinosaur and while most of the world has moved on from the prejudices of the 1950s you have not.
