taking the piss? wagner was put on the live shows to be controversial and get votes. to make simon money. you think it was really louis that put him through and that simon is losing any sleep over wagner being there and diva fever or belle amie being out?

if Wagner goes on and wins, yep, Cowell will certainly be losing sleep, despite making money from the votes.

The whole point of the show is to set him up with new acts who the public will buy. If Wagner wins, then Cowell doesn't. It becomes the same thing as when people were voting for John Sergeant on Strictly - a pisstake onto the show.

If Wagner wins it, like Jedward last year, then i think simon will see it as the end of the xfactor franchise, as its obviously got to the point where more people want to turn it into a farce and a joke, than people who take it seriously.

Wagner won't win it though. I reckon its a lot easier for a campaign to get a song to number one, than it is to get someone to win the xfactor.

I think the stuff from his band shows his voice off better - almost seems like a bad decision to go on it. I'd think that band could hold their own at any festival.

As for Tesco Mary -

at least mention that you won an Irish natonal TV singing show.

bet you anything that if that band played bearded theory or similar and removing all the xfactor stuff, neil would actually enjoy them :P

What are you failing to understand about my music tastes?

Just because you have no taste at all, don't go making the mistake that everyone is as empty minded as your simple self.

Cowell knew from the start that Wagner was basically a joke act, he also knows that a decent proportion of the public hate Xfactor and will vote for said joke act in order to undermine the show. If he didn't want this to happen, surely he wouldn't have let Wagner back in the show?

He's not stupid. I think he's happy for Wagner to go as far as we like, it's all publicity.

    • Just watched Annie Lennox at Wilderness Festival as part of her global feminist The Circle initiative. She curated the 2 hour slot with special guests including Jessie Ware and then did  a 1/2 hour slot singing her and Eurythmics hits at the end. Her voice is amazing still and I am convinced she would do an amazing set on Sunday afternoon. She even wore a jacket with a sparkling CND symbol on the back! It’s a sign!!

    • Is it one of those bollocks things where ones is a festival and the other would be a show lol
    • Hello,   I have no idea what the answer is to your question, but wish you well in your quest for information.
    • Yes, I was asking about comedy, and also it seems odd that after bringing it back last year, the Seaside Stage seems to have gone again. Probably why Massaoke (basically a big karaoke sing-along) is now on the Castle Stage. But on all three days?! Does all seem a little desperate this year, though hopefully I will be proved wrong. Still think the Mary Wallopers fiasco has probably put a lot of artists off performing at Victorious, hence the reduction in stages and acts appearing... One of the best things about Victorious in the early days was its value for money compared to some of the other bigger festivals, but this certainly not the case anymore...
