Ticket day in October

To be honest you build it up, then it take about 2 minutes and you wonder why you got so worked up. I remember for the 09 tickets, I went online 10 mins before they were to start selling and found them to already be on sale. I had my tickets by 8:54. The last time I remember it being totally crazy was in 07 and that was the first year of registration. Its definitely got easier since

If the fact U2 are playing next year gets confirmed I reckon it is going to be alot harder-harder than ever. Plus people will remember the lovely weather we had

Why? Its not like U2 have announced its their farewell tour. They may even announce dates in the UK of their own between being named as a Glasto headliner and T-Day

I don't think (I'm guessing) U2 will be confirmed until after T-Day.

But with a bit of luck they might announce some UK dates before then, which will lessen the Glasto rush.

U2 are so gonna be playing next year. They've writtne a song about Glastonbury and performed it a couple of days ago. Plus with the gap in the schedule, and ME confirming he's in talks with them, it's a definite.

Not sure why a U2 fan would go to a whole festival though just for their one band that they're obsessed with.

Hopefully ticket day wont be too difficult, but for some reason I always have a hard time!

really? I wouldn't have thought there were many, especially as he was doing a full show in London, at a fraction of the cost the same weekend

There were quite a few posts made on here from Bruce fans that did both. Surely you remember?

The OTT obsessiveness of some fans of some bands hasn't passed you by, has it?

They never usually announce any headliners before T-day. Prior to that it is all speculation. If I remember rightly, U2 were announced very shortly after T-day last year but up until then it is all speculation. This is because Glastonbury is for people who love the festival and don't just go for the bands.

I think the benefit of T-Day being in October is that most ad-hoc festival goers aren't think about festivals at that time of the year. When tickets for V, Reading/Leeds etc go on sale people are making plans for the summer and that why they sell out straight away . The last mad ticket day was in 2007 and if I'm right T-Day was in the Spring of that year.

The other aspect to this is that as Markeee rightly points out some people may not be able to afford it this time around. People such as public sector workers whose jobs are under threat. (me included)
