... and I guess although people moan and whinge and bleat on about being herded around Shangri La, areas being closed off because of potential overcrowding etc etc, its with good reason.

This has bought about the sad end of the Love Parade and the even more tragic loss of young lives where were simply out for a good time. RIP

I've posted this on the Discussions board but I'll reiterate. This tragedy should only reaffirm the point, that every single person in a large crowd has a responsibility, and to lose sight of that, regardless of how much fun you seem to be having, can endanger not just yourself, but others who have come to party with you

I do of course understand that this clearly is a failure by the authorities, but this responsibility is something we have to keep in mind when at Glastonbury and anywhere else

JUSTICE ? the death of 96 is horrific, but in true tradition the socialist state of merseyside has to rag out a tradgedy and wash it of all dignity. instead of accepting that all parties involved had some responsibility, the police, the stadium organisers and some elements of the liverpool support. but they cant can they, it has to be dragged up all the time in true scouse fashion sapping genuine peoples sympathy resources.

forza juveu

rip the 19 of the love parade. lets learn from the error of the liverpool mentality and simply leave them at peace

Started to answer a quote and then decided that the arguing is undignified and meant to cancel but published the quote on it's own instead.

I'm just feeling sad for people that went out for a good time and didn't make it home - that goes for people this weekend, and in times passed.

Wow, some people really are heartless f**ks on the Internet. As if you'd act like this in real life when people were talking about a tragic event. Even if you do roll your eyes in private, posession of the tiniest bit of human tact would've allowed you to turn the other cheek in the midst of a sympathy-for-a-tragedy thread.

Absolutely heartbreaking events in Germany... gutted for everyone involved. I'd always planned to visit Love Parade one year... Germany is my favourite European country (going in September again).

I hope the many complainypants in the late-night oneway systems at Glastonbury take a bit of notice.

There was no need to mention "justice for the 96" in this thread IMHO. This is about what happened in Germany at the weekend, there's no need to drag Hillsborough into it.

im not being heartless i saw some appauling events unfold at a party i have enjoyed in the past and as is always the case professional scousers will be there reminding us that their tradgedy was worse when the dead should just rest with some dignity

100% agree. Hillborough was tragic, but has absolutely nothing to do with the events in Germany at the weekend. This was purely a sympathy/acknowledgement/condolence thread for The Love Parade.
