Wristy Business

I have misplaced my box of wristbands...its buried somewhere deep in the loft. Kind of annoyed as I wanted to get some back on for this year's G but tbh, after attending 8 festies so far this year, my wrist is rather busy now anyway but annoyingly not much of a rainbow as most I have attended have resulted in red or pink bands. The green bands I am also sporting clash terribly!

Down to two - this years Glasto and last - I now have a system whereby they are 'retired' after 2 years - pretty much just before they are ready to fall off anyway. In fact, when people ask me why the *uck I'm still wearing these things, I now simply reply that "it is the wristband of power and can only be unmade where it was made". Sad.

Looking forward to acquiring a BDays one soon though . . .

I still have my first Glasto band somewhere and know for sure I have this years-not sure about 2008 and 07 though...I used to keep them on afterwards but I think I am getting too old for that now (25)!

I've just got back from the Big Chill and while I was having my wristband fitted in Production the girl noticed I still had my Glastonbury one on and commented on it. Turned out she designed them and the symbols on it are based on the designs on Marc Bolan's guitar strap to coincide with it being the 40th anniversary. This was on the hospitality bands, unfortunately I didn't get the chance to ask her about the other ones (can't remember what designs they had) but I thought it was a really nice little detail that its a shame more people didn't know about! (or maybe everyone did know and it just passed me by totally!)

I love it when a time capsule explodes! :D

I've just discovered the rest of my cloth wristbands, and now have the full set! :)

It's weird (but not excessively so) that prior to 2005, they didn't have the year on. Weirder to imagine not having to wear a wristband prior to 2002! Seems like aeons ago....

You were right in your suspicions, however, the blue and (lemon) yellow are the wrong way around. Trawled through some old photos.. 2003 was the light blue year. 2002 was definitely the wider orangey yellow year. :)
