The A303 Stonehenge traditional post-Glasto crawl was well and truly in place even at 9am. Avoid by taking the A36 to Salisbury (ie well in advance of the queues) and then go up the A30 to rejoin the A303 much late - if travelling to London.

But if you mean out of the car parks  well we were in W51. Attempting to go out the way we came in, across the metal roadways, was chocka & not moving at 6am. Went in the opposite direction, there was a way to squeeze out.

Good luck all.

I'd leave it too. If you have to go, when you get to the car, walk around the local fields to try to work out the best way out. It seems easy to join an all-day queue, but there are usually ways and means to squeeze out.

Plus leaving it til later means less time stuck in the sun.

Apparently the traffic lights were screwed coming out of the East car parks at around 5am. They fixed it within an hour or so, but the backlog built up then just stacked up as everyone piled out. Plus I think last year wasn't so bad at 6-8am, so this year everyone tried to leave at that time. Took us about an hour and a half to get from E22 out on to A37, and then they were only allowing people to turn south (which was fine for us as it happened).

We tried getting out of W50 at 06:30 but thew queue going out the way we came in was going nowhere, had a drive round the field and found a locked gate on the edge, lifted that on its hinges and stright out on the main road! quickedst ive ever got out.

We got back to E2 at about 2.30am and there was a massive stationary queue of cars all through E1 and E2, and then I noticed an AA van and a tow-truck down at the front of E1. Was steeling myself for an epic wait but by the time we'd packed the car the queue was moving, so I assume the delay there was caused by a vehicle broken down on the trackway. Got out pretty much straight away from that, so not too bad at all.
