Bruce couldn't have done a anything about some of the defending yesterday. Some of it was embarrassing.

He could have held on to Da Silva and played him instead of Mensah. Turner looked out of shape though, which was unfortunate. No Richardson. No Zenden till late on. Blugh!

An expensive loss for Liverpool at the weekend I reckon - with Spurs only drawing, if they'd have won that they'd have been right on the tail of Spurs and strongly heading for 5th in their place. Having lost, it looks almost impossible now.

The ref on sky tried to justify Vidic not going off. The anchor man was visibly embarrassed for him.

Like I say, everyone knows the favouritism shown to Man Utd and it clearly runs very deep.

Couple of decisions this year have cost Utd points and have been as far from favouritism as you can get.

I don't remember worm ranting like this when Sunderland benefited last season not just by a error of judgement by a ref but by an error against the actual rules of the game.

I wonder why....? It wouldn't be because he's at least as biased in his own views as he's accusing the refs of being, of course.

Let's be clear, Man Utd got lucky on Saturday.

However, full credit must go to them. They took full advantage of the decisions they got and played very very well.

Disappointing performance, still it's a sure sign we're on the up if we can play that poorly and give Man Utd a scare. My only concern is we still have to go to Chelsea, Bolton, and Citeh. All of whom are strong at home, and against all we have very poor away records at.

Well I think that was probably the weekend that decided the league. Whilst ManU have been a shaddow of the side they've been in previous seasons, they have the ability to dig deep when the situation requires it that the other sides in the top half of the table just don't have. Yes they got lucky in keeping Vidic on the pitch, but the team spirit they showed in turning that game around (and against Blackpool earlier in the season) was phenominal. If we had even half of their fight, we'd be miles clear in the league by now. Gutted about our result, but not surprised. Some of those players need to take long hard looks at themselves at the end of the season and decide whether they really want to put in the effort it takes to win trophies. If not then they need to leave.

Carra’s tackle on Nani. Utd still would’ve lost that game but that was a straight red card.

if that was a red (which I don't personally think it was, but anyway) then there should have also been a red for a Utd player in the same game (I can't be sure who tho now - it might have been one of the twins) for a very similar tackle.

his foot wasn't "well over the ball" - at least not with the movement he made himself. His foot bounced off the upper side of the ball into Nani's leg.

So, IMO it was a bad tackle, but the consequences of it were unlucky rather than the consequence of what Carra was doing directly himself. It was more "one of those things" than a straight red (tho I can understand why some think it should have been a red).
