Eminem

Anyone see Friday night with Jonathon Ross? Eminem was asked whether he would consider Glastonbury after Jay z's performance in 08. Basically he didn't say he wouldn't do

it. Just wondered what everyone thinks?

Would you go and see him?

Yeah I'd definitely go to watch him. Saw him at Reading and thought he was very good. He and Jay Z are the two rappers I don't mind listening to, so it'd be nice to see him there for me.

I should imagine there would be a few issues with things he's supposedly said in he past but there aren't many musicians who haven't said or done dome dodgy things in their time.

I think he'd be a worthy (Worthy) headliner. He's released album after album of strong material, brought through younger talent and displayed examples of incredibly intelligent song writing.

I'm not convinced ME would ever book him though.

I think Springsteen has an Oscar for Philadelphia (Or he was at least nominated)

As for Eminem, while he is no doubt controversial and Eavis would probably never book him I think he'd make a good headliner. He's a very talented rapper all controversy aside and he'd probably put on a bit of a show.

i heard him being interviewed on radio 1 with that Fearn Cotton yesterday; although i didn't hear it from the start, he had very little to say, answering in monosyllables, all felt very awkward.

Bit disapointing really. His live lounge performance sounded okay though.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
