Proposing @ Glastonbury

I’m debating whether to propose to my girlfriend at Glastonbury this year.

Thoughts? Too cheesy maybe?

Bono agreed to do it live on the pyramid stage but now he’s let me down.

So any alternative ideas where/how? Some may call this unromantic asking for advice but oh well! I sense there may also be suggestions of “Outside the Brothers bar, half way up a flagpole absolutely battered”

Oh well if nothing else I might get some amusing ideas from here!

Don't plan the "when"... just wait for that beautiful glasto moment when youre listening to some amazing music, you look around and realise it's an amazing place, you feel your heart swell and you might cry... that's the time. :-)

Nice idea - I've thought along similar lines before myself actually. But don't you run a higher-than-usual chance of losing the ring due to a) batteredness b ) mud (not this year obviously) and c) living in a tent for the best part of a week?

Go for it!

I was proposed to at dawn at the stone circle at it was lovely (after he gently guided me away from the past out people next to us). I felt like I was floating for the next few days. Although I did slightly regret drinking all that brothers before hand.

Our second anniversary was yesterday and I can't wait to go back to the stone circle this year.

My husband later admitted he was very worried about getting searched on the way in and them finding the ring. The ring was too big for me so we kept it in the box and he bought me £1 ring from a stall which is now in my wedding scrapbook.

I would agree with what others have said, just chose a nice moment that feels right at the time, but early on so you can relax and enjoy the festival, assuming she says yes - which she will of course!

Good luck!
