I still expect a few impromptu suprises - I'm sure a few artists not on the bill will turn up considering it is the 40th - you never know, might get a few suprises here and there.

Best keeping ear to the ground.

Has anyone ever come accross unbilled acts - who and how did they come accross them.

Is it being in the right place at the right time or keeping your ear to the ground for word of mouth?

Was walking past the Leftfield tent a few years ago when a girl approached us with a bit of paper that said "Hard Fi in here in 2 minutes"

Not my bag but they were my mates favourite band and she blew her stack that I hadnt hunted her down to let her know. I did try to phone/text her but this wasnt enough apparently

i find not using the guide/programme and leaving my watch in the car leads to so many surprise performances over the weekend it's untrue.

actually that was a big surprise. i was there to watch Dizzee and i think Franz are shite. i wandered off and got a pint, came back an hour later and everything was cool again.
