It's not to much 'for a laugh' obviously as the chance to see a genuine legend for the sake of it. Personally if Stevie came to the O2, Wembley Arena etc it wouldn't cross my mind to go and watch him so if there's something I prefer at Glasto then I'd do that.

I think a lot of people learnt from Springsteen last year that there is very little point in going to see a legend just to say you've been there unless you love their music.

If you love Stevie then I couldn't be happier for you - if you don't then I don't see the point in going just because he's a legend.

Just my view.

Not really, sorry. I don't want people to be tempted to try to game the system to get their favourite band higher up the table (although they probably wouldn't be able to without understanding how the scores are evaluated). Er, I probably shouldn't even have mentioned that stats exist. :P

I've had a think about what I'd feel safe releasing -- how about the top ten in alphabetical order (without scores, obv)?

I would guess none of the above...the England match on the Wednesday may beat the lot of them...nothing else competing...so if it is sunny...and the result matters a lot (which it may)...then I reckon 70,000 is possible...can't see more than 60,000 even for U2

Maybe making the list alphabetical order is too paranoid when the top counts are in the thousands.

Here you go (spoilered in case anyone doesn't want to know):

u2, muse, stevie, floren, faithl, snoopd, vampir, mgmt, hotchi, seasic

I've posted the short names but you should be able to figure out what they are. :P

I personally think it will be Stevie Wonder, even though I won't be there to see him. I think the U2/ The Flaming Lips / Groove Armada/ Fatboy Slim clash will spread out the crowds on the Friday. More so than Sunday anyway.

U2 Easy. One and Only chance to see init, Probably the one and only time they will play Glasto, & most people would never actually get a ticket to a U2 gig, so wouldn't have any other opportunity too.

I think it will be close between N-Dubz and U2 tho, as the Dubz are the future of British Music :P Niiiiiiiiiiii :P

In my opinion the 2 biggest crowds will be U2 & Stevie, the main reason for this is that they are legends and also because their gigs around the world cost a fortune, so the chance to see them at Glastonbury is one most people cannot afford to miss.

Also, it will be really interesting to see U2 in a stripped down environment without their "Claw"

3rd biggest crowd will probably be Rolf Harris opening the Pyramid on the Friday

Stevie has an advantage over the others, he is playing the Sunday, when the locals swell the numbers.

I don't think the football will get 70,000, as doubt there will be 70,000 people on site by 3pm on the Wednesday, more likely 55,000 on site, of which 45,000 will be watching the match.

Oh f**k off :P That would assume that 175,000 people use the clash finder, and tone of other things, are any of those below the headliners really bigger than Dizzee or SS and deserve the slot ?

    • That would be perfect!
    • If the festival was on this forecast for the end of the month would really raise the excitement levels 😊😉
    • I think their best chance is to get at Brazil. I though Casemiro in particular but the entire Brazil midfield was awful for the first half of that game, and if McTominay and McGinn press and run past them they've got every chance of getting the lead. You kinda assume Vini Jr and Raphinha will do something at some point in any game, but Brazil look like they're waiting for their stars to make something happen, instead of having a team plan.   I stand by my claim before the tourney that Morocco put 3 past Scotland, which suggests to me they need to nick a draw against Brazil.
    • The dance and pop acts seem to be going down more than the rest lol. Download has turned into 90s fest of the Midlands haha, but it's all silly music no one actually likes lol.
    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
