I know it's cruel and I shouldn't laugh.

At the end of the day it was on the "Official" Glastonbury Facebook I presume. Now if I was an organiser and I saw someone taking the piss because others ain't got tickets I think I would cancel their ticket.

It's hard to prove it was not you at the end of the day, but as you say you now have an ex friend.

oh no, dont tell me you wrote that on the "official glastonbury" facebook page.

its hard to find any sympathy, threatening to tout on the official page of a festival that takes touting on ebay pretty seriously. even as a joke, what goes around comes around and all that.

ach look on the bright side, the line ups shit this year :P

In defence , you could argue that the puishment did not warrent the crime and you would have to

go through the small print

So let me get this straight - he logged onto facebook with your account and password, posted on the offical Glastonbury page that you had 26 tickets and was going to bung 6 of them on ebay, and then logged off again?

Hmmm :P

Something doesn't quite add up with what you are telling us

Ah well, perhaps you'll be able to get one if anymore go back onsale. At least your other friend got his ticket reinstated as I would have been majorly pissed off if I was him and had done nothing wrong

So your friend doesn't have Facebook, but still managed to navigate his way around Facebook - whilst talking to other friends via the extremely unreliable chat function - to find the official Glastonbury page and post a pretty feeble joke which means your ticket has been cancelled?

Chances are your Registration is probably now showing as "in use" therefore if you intend to try and buy another ticket then you will need to re-register, if you can.

I think you should make your friend cancel his ticket as well for being a dumb ass

Oooooooooooooooh! Cynical! :P Kids these days are born knowing how to use facebook dont ya know?! :P

(I thought I would be very kind of give him the benefit of the doubt - but yeah, I pretty much thought something very similar)

That sounds just just like section 23 (:P of the Terms and Conditions of the ticket sales. Titled "When we can cancel your ticket".

It's just after "we have the right to cancel your ticket if you are a Kasabian fan"

Apologies in advance but hahahaha, I think people need to be really careful on facebook, it is a seriously dangerous social networking site as anyone can see anyones comments/profile etc.

Even if you set it to private, i'm sure if you read into the small print of terms and conditions, there is somewhere where it advises that it can allow private profiles to be viewed by companies (this is a way of making money surely - with companies paying big bucks to be able to have open access to all profiles).

This is purely my opinion but I reckon it happens. One of my friends got rejected from a job application because their facebook profile and pictures did not fit in with the 'ethos' of the company they were applying for.
