I've looked at the line up a few times now and each time someone else jumps out...

Fret not little doubters, instead of panicking about your favourite and missing money grabbing acts, take time between now and the festival and discover some cracking music.

There are some really amazing acts in that line up :P

Well, I was originally gutted that I couldn't go this year (Not in the country) as I have been thinking about it ever since they announced that the 40th was going to be "Huge". Then my friends got tickets in the resale and I was even more gutted.

However, seeing the lineup now, I'm feeling good again. It's certainly not a bad line-up, but it's no better than any previous years, so at least I'm not missing out as much as I thought I would. I can always go next year.

From looking so far there's about 10 bands I'd like to see, but most of those I've seen before and only Stevie is someone I'll likely have trouble seeing at other festivals or shows.

No more big announcements please /Selfish :P

I think if it hadn't broken early about Stevie and U2 we'd all be sat here now going - Stevie Wonder AND U2 playing Glastonbury this year? Are you shitting me? Because even if you don't rate them you can't get away from the fact that to get even one of these acts to headline is an amazing coup. To get them both? Ah, it's interstellar. Think about who they are and the types of gigs they normally play. Think about what's motivating them to play. And then tell me it's not an amazing line up.

I had a little oh no Pixies? Gossip? Pavement? moment - but just because we've all been concocting mad rumours of who we'd love to play doesn't mean we're going to get them.

I'm excited - like everyone else got some hideous clashes - where the hell did Gomez spring from? But can't wait, really really can't wait :P

The line up is a massive let down because last year we were told that the anniversary would be something special, with main acts from the last 40 years making it a wonderful trip down memory lane!!!!!!!!!

My arse! this is the worst line up for years, if it wasnt for the picture I would be selling my ticket and giving this year a miss. Not even looking forward to it now, there's hardly even any good techno bands or dj's on, so cant even go spend some time there.

defo taking out insurance next time, kicking myself for not doing it this year.

any fat ugly b'stards out ther want to buy a ticket?

Pretty sure it was never said here would be main acts from the last 40 years, even though I'm sure Eavis said there would be acts that have played over the previous 40 years.

You do know you can cancel your ticket don't you?

I've been able to find 4 or 5 bands I really want to see on each day, which suggests a strong line-up to me.

The TBAs on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon seem to be around the time England might be playing, they might be moving bands around depending on the football.

Dizzee Rascal then U2

Scissor Sisters then Muse

Faithless then Stevie Wonder

I am all over them like a rash with a cheap suit vibe. None of them would be support acts for each other which makes it even better. Funky dancing and then singalongs.

Oh Glasto, you've got a very lucky face.

    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
    • went to their album launch show last night at the george tavern. it was fantastic! absolutely roasting in there though
    • I got mine yesterday but they sent the wrong ticket link, so had to email Ticketmaster and get the right one.    As for predictions, hard to see who else could do the Pulp/Sting/Byrne slot other than the Cure, and since they did Isle of Wight they maybe have an FR deal (Sting did both). It’s also the Cure’s 50th next year so imagine they’ll be doing a bigger tour. Pet Shop Boys or Kylie maybe?   Wolf Alice would be a dream. It’ll probably all be men again though.
    • Probably a couple of months yet....last ticket sale announcement was 10th October 2024.
