ive got good and bad news for people, it depends who you are..........

1 - hes definitely touring in 2010

2 - hes definitely NOT touring the UK in 2010 (the gigs are all in the states)

3 - hes definitely got 5, YES 5, dates at earls court in may 2011

4 - the promoters are going crazy about the visual show, apparently, its the most amazing they have EVER seen

5 - ive got me and few mates (are you listening LW?) in already :P

6 - its such a groundbreaking visual show its unlikely that a festival could accomodate it :P

and thats all folks

I love how all of this information, bar #5 which you continually blab on about is openly available to everyone, regardless of what sources you have. So it's not really news, it's just a summary of the Interwebz.

I also love that the last time we discussed it, you were adamantly claiming your sources knew that it would be the O2, and not Earl's Court next year. So basically your "sources" (read: guesses) were wrong then...

You don't half tout some rubbish around mate :P

It's pretty live now ... if it will actually load for you anyway ! Seems to be struggling here on some pages, mainly the tour dates page for some strange reason :P Can't say I'm liking the idea of the ticketing scheme that much mind you - looks to me like it's going to be a complete mare to get tickets if they do the same thing for the UK dates as/when they happen. More than a bit like the Jackson @O2 gig scheme and all that - various personalised pre-sale linkies issued on a lottery basis in advance of the 'official' sale. I don't mind pre-sales as such, esp if it helps to limit touting, but most pre-sale deals are almost as open to abuse as general sales are anyway. A bit strange that you apparently *have* to buy pre-sale tickets in pairs as well. The only good thing I suppose is maybe they will increase the number of dates to suit demand mind you as happened with the Jackson gigs  Can't see me being lucky enough to bag a seat in first block right down the front in the general sale as I seem to have managed to do for all his previous gigs to date :P well, all previous gigs excluding HPC and Glasto of course anyway ! No real surprise that the UK has to wait until 2011 and I hope it will be at Earls Court as suggested earlier - not exactly my favourite venue but still by far the best option for something like this I reckon. Was kinda hoping that a one-off UK date somewhere around the end of June this year and quite possibly down in a Somerset stylee direction might have been on the cards ... but it wasn't ever likely to be a realistic proposition was it :P A 2002 stylee action replay would have been unbelievably good but defo way to much wishful thinking and not even a hint of reality ! Bet tix are going to be way more than a tad expensive !!!

If anyone's interested, US/Canada dates announced so far are apparently as below according to Brain Damage seeing as I still can't get the official page to load and have given up trying.

Youve gotta save up a few readies? New York for your bday? Quality.

"I feel it is my responsibility as an artist to express my, albeit guarded, optimism, and encourage others to do the same. To quote the great man, ” You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.”

Nice touch from Roger. Pity he can't sing.

im hearing that bits of it are. with some properly ground breaking lasers.

the bods over at live nation cant wait for the show to get going and for the reviews to hit - their certain its going to wow people!!

and this comes from people who couldnt give a toss about Floyd musically, not their bag at all. but know a good show when they see one.

thinking about it, seeing as its live nation over there as well, i'll have to have a conversation about that. it would only be flights and spends then!! :P

    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
