well it's your call at the end of the day so fair enough. agree with you about big brother rejects, but say a couple of people in biggish bands were interested in playing for a few minutes, i think it would be beneficial for the cause.

Jonathan Woodgate was apparently on site last year....

That's reminded me.....

There's a pro footballer who's been a regular on efests for ten years or more .... he might decline to get involved as I'm not sure how his club might feel about his Glastonbury going, but I'll get in touch with him and see if there's anything he might be able to do to help.

Spurs or Chelsea, it has to be. Or one of the Championship playoff finalists (Forest? Cardiff?)

I'm not going to get drawn on it - it's up to the person involved whether they wish to make their day job public.

However, please do bear in mind that the excesses that festivals are known for probably don't match up very well with the pro sporting world, so the player might not want to reveal himself here, and might not wish to get involved outside of giving us some names to contact (and might not want to even do that) - it may not be a good thing for him to do for his career.

But he loves efests, and as far as I'm aware has bought more efests merchandise than any other person, so hopefully he'll be happy to help in some way.

I can imagine the outrage across the front pages of the tabloids: "Prem star linked with meow meow Glasto binge"... etc. Fair point.

Yup. :P

I very much doubt he'd want to be involved in the game itself -he goes to festivals to get away from football.

It is now one week since this was launched and we have £635 raised so far. Which is over 10% of Michael Eavis's challenge amount.

Thank you very much to everyone that has donated so far.

If you would like to help and help us reach our target please visit

It has a few photos and a short video of last years event.
