First gig was King @ Hamersmith, how I wanted his check trousers .. I'd wanted to see Tears for Fears the year before at Southend, but my parent banned me for being too young :-)

Then got heavily into rap /hip hop .... so Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, and Run DMC as a gig stands out as a good one and Mantronix at Brixton Academy.. then I vaguely remember some 12 hour rap/hip hop concert at Wembley - I think it was called UK Fresh !!!

My teenage/early twenties years were spent at 'Essex radio Soul night specials' and London radio Soul nights out

I also Love Quo...

This could be seen these day's as a naff dad rock band .. But I think they picked up some fan base

last year with glasto performance, and If you lived through their peak (which I didn't - my first taste was 1984) you will know them as the 'kaiser chiefs' , neigh 'Muse' of their generation :-)
