Found out a bit of info at the weekend

Apparently Download has sold around 45,000 so far. Making this the quickest selling year so far

Also I have been told that Sonisphere is selling very poorly again - only sold around 600 tickets in the first couple of weeks and hasn't been doing too well since either.

Download this year will be the most expensive line-up in UK festival history.

I can't reveal my source so don't ask me to, but let's just say I won't be paying for my ticket :P

Can believe the most expensive thing, doesn't take any real logic to see otherwise. 45000 seems weak imo though, considering Reading / Leeds sell 200000 in a matter of hours with a much smaller line up, albeit I'm thinking those days are numbered?

Not surprised about Sonisphere, most people I speak to don't even know what it is, let alone know the line up and even remotely contemplate laying down £150 for a ticket.

Download's selling tickets imo is now down to marketing, as oppose to filling up the line up. ACDC, RATM and Aerosmith can sell those tickets on their own, just Joe Public doesn't follow Download festival like they might V or Reading.

I'm too banking on the Soni tickets lol.

Also I don't fully trust it when they say Download 'sells out'. AC has said before that the number of tickets they have and how they lay the arena out is decided close to the festival, and so when they know how many they're going to finally sell they can then make a few set up changes to then accomodate that number and stick a sold out on it.

Like, Download COULD host 110000 people, but I bet if they sold 70000 tickets in the end they'll still call it a sellout.

Good to know they're ahead of expectation anyway :P.

They do have 100% positive feedback with no negative or even neutral feedback within the past year so that is reassuring. I think just by the feedback that he has and the fact that he has sold over 400 items I doubt he would ruin his perfect ebay reputation for 75.00 I think you are good he seems legit. If you read the feedback it looks like he sold a car so that's a big plus meaning he will come through.
